The holidays are all about creating memories and honoring traditions, right? For me, that means family pajamas. Growing up, my mom would always have new, holiday pajamas for us on Christmas Eve and we would spend the evening together, cozied up in our new comfies. Now that I have my own kids, I love carrying on the tradition. It’s something we look forward to every year. Thankfully, many retailers are embracing the “family jammies” concept. In fact, this year, there are more options than ever to choose from. Here are some of my favorites:
Pick #1- Holiday Plaid Family Pajamas from Target (Modeled by Stephanie Verdoorn and daughter Megan (7))
To me, these scream Christmas! I love the classic, tartan plaid pattern on these. If you’d like, you can even get some for your dog! They have a loose fit and are made from 100% cotton.
Pick #2- Family Flannel Deer Pajamas from The Company Store (Modeled by Jen Vick, son Brady(8) and dog Piper)
If you’re looking for Jammies that are appropriate for the Holidays, yet can be worn all winter long, these are it!! I love the neutral color palette along with nature-inspired design. These are totally gender neutral so even the men in your crew will feel comfortable wearing them. They run true to size, so DO NOT size up like most of us do with pajamas. You all will be swimming!
Pick #3- Mix and Match from Kohl’s- (Modeled by Abbie (Abbie’s jammies) and son Ezra (5) (Ezra’s jammies)
If matching pajamas aren’t your thing, and you want a more modern take on the family pajama tradition, not a problem, you just need to coordinate a bit. Here we went with a black and white theme, with just a nod to the holidays. I love this set that Abbie is wearing from the Simply Vera line by Vera Wang. If you don’t know about Vera Wang pajamas consider yourself in the know! (Until now, it’s been my little secret.) They are so luxurious and very fashion forward. I love the jogger bottoms on these and the set comes complete with the knit hat!! So cute.
